Power Consulting Associates was co-founded by David C. Grooms, PE in 2005 in order to provide engineering design, construction inspection and project management services for all stages of power delivery. Mr. Grooms had a vision for creating an enjoyable working environment for others who were just as passionate about developing and maintaining the electrical infrastructure around the world.
For nearly 2 decades now, PCA has provided professional engineering design and construction oversight inspection services to a diverse client base in the energy industry. As specialists of transmission line, distribution line and substation construction, our engineers and inspectors have been called upon by some of the largest utilities in the industry.

PCA complies with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and promotes continuing accident prevention and safety awareness.
With safety as a top priority, our construction managers and inspectors have a minimum of 5 years of experience and are trained in First Aid/ CPR, OSHA 10/30 hour, OSHA Trench Safety and Standard Utility Safety Practices.
The PCA team has been called upon by a diverse client base ranging from small facility operators to the largest electric utility in the US to provide a host of services for the transmission and distribution of energy.
